Return Information
All unused parts purchased through the steering store are
returnable! Within 30 days of purchase of your order, you may return
any unused and non special order parts.
Please use the same box and return to us. Please open
this page, complete
the form and return to us. Used or parts returned without the form will
not be refunded. All returns will be fully refunded minus shipping
(actual shipping charges in the case of free shipping) and minus an $18
dollar return fee. Refunds take approximately two weeks and are
refunded in the same manner as payment.
It is our policy to replace
all defective and wrong parts. If you choose to return a defective
or wrong part rather than have us ship you a new one, you will be subject
to the same rules above.
Warranty Details
Everything we sell has a fully warranty. All racks come with a
36 month warranty and all gearboxes and pumps come with a 12 month
warranty unless otherwise noted on your invoice.
If you believe you have a
defective part, please call us. We will have you in the computer and
will ship you out a no charge replacement. We will need to put a new
core deposit on the part. This will be refunded when we get the part
back. We must have our defective part back, no exceptions.
Here is the legal version:
THE STEERING STORE (hereinafter called SS), warrants to the original purchaser, that each remanufactured auto
part sold by SS shall be free, under normal use, from any defects in
material and/or workmanship, subject to the following terms and
conditions:
DEFINITIONS: AUTO PART: As used herein, the
term auto part shall mean: a remanufactured auto part supplied by SS.
TERMS: 1. Unless otherwise noted on
original invoice, the auto part warranty term shall be the 24 months for rack and pinion
and for 12 months on steering gearboxes and pumps.
At no time shall this be for a term of less than 12 months. The warranty
is not transferable. 2. In the case of a drive axle or rack & pinion
auto part, the boot warranty term shall be 6 months from the documented
date of installation.
AUTHORIZED REPAIR: All repairs and/or
replacements covered by this warranty must be authorized by SS prior to
making any repairs. Payments will not be made for any unauthorized repairs
and/or replacements. 2.THE STEERING STORE supplied Rack and Pinion,
Steering Gear Box or power steering pump shall have a maximum limit of
$350.00 over the
life of the warranty. 3. THE STEERING STORE supplied
automatic transmissions shall have a maximum limit of $500.00 over the
life of the warranty.
STANDARDS: Subject to limitations contained
herein, SS at its option, shall repair or replace the auto part within
the warranty term subject to SS's approval, without charge to the
owner/user.
LIMITATIONS: This warranty applies only to
the auto part supplied by SS. This warranty shall not apply to, or
include any of the following: 1. Repair or replacement required as a
result of any accident, misuse, road hazard, tampering or disassembly. 2.
Any SS auto part used for competition or related purposes. 3. Any SS auto part used on an off-road or fleet vehicle. 4. Any
SS auto part which
has been repaired or remodeled by any person other than an authorized
installer, or to which any device or accessory not conforming to O.E.M.
specifications have been installed. This includes but shall not be
limited to any modification of vehicle through replacing a steering gear
box with a rack and pinion assembly 5. Any SS auto part on which the
periodic maintenance services required by the original manufacturer have
not been performed. 6. Any SS auto part failing as a result of failure to
replace a different faulty component or failure to flush power steering
system thoroughly before installation. 7. Warranty shall not apply to ANY
repairs and/or replacements not authorized by SS.
LIMITED LIABILITY: The liability of SS under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the
defective parts. This is a parts warranty only. SS shall not be liable for any
incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any
service not expressly provided for herein, relating to or arising from SS products.
LIMITED WARRANTY: This warranty is given in
lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any warranty
of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose, on the part of SS, or the dealer installing the
SS product. No dealer, nor any agent or
employee thereof, is authorized to extend or enlarge this warranty.
RIGHTS RESERVED: SS reserves all
rights and privileges unless otherwise noted.
